1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using LowerBP ("the App"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

LowerBP is a personal health tracking application that allows users to log and monitor:

• Blood pressure readings
• Weight measurements
• Daily habits
• Diet and nutrition information

The App is provided "as is" for informational and tracking purposes only.

3. Medical Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: This App is NOT a medical device and does NOT provide medical advice.

• We are not doctors, healthcare providers, or medical experts
• The App does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition
• All information provided is for educational and tracking purposes only
• You should ALWAYS consult with a qualified healthcare professional before making any medical decisions
• Do not delay seeking medical advice or treatment based on information from this App
• If you experience a medical emergency (including blood pressure crisis), seek immediate medical attention

4. Use at Your Own Risk

You acknowledge and agree that:

• You use this App entirely at your own risk
• We and LowerBP are not liable for any health outcomes, injuries, or damages arising from use of the App
• The accuracy of the data you enter is your responsibility
• The App's calculations, categorizations, and recommendations are automated and may not be accurate for your specific situation
• Any decisions you make based on data tracked in the App are solely your responsibility

5. Data Privacy and Access

Regarding your personal health data:

• We do NOT sell your data to third parties
• We do NOT share your data for marketing or advertising purposes
• Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase (see Privacy Policy)
• As the App administrator, we CAN access your data for purposes of:
  • Technical support and troubleshooting
  • System maintenance and improvements
  • Ensuring compliance with these terms
• We will not access your data except as necessary for the above purposes or as required by law

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information during registration
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Enter health data accurately to the best of your ability
• Not use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or other users' data
• Not share your account with others

7. Account Approval

New accounts require administrator approval before accessing the App. We reserve the right to:

• Approve or reject any account registration without explanation
• Suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these terms
• Remove user access at any time for any reason

8. Data Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate categorizations and calculations:

• Blood pressure categories are based on general medical guidelines and may not apply to your specific situation
• Nutritional calculations are estimates and may not be exact
• The App cannot verify the accuracy of data you enter
• Always verify important health information with medical professionals

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages
• This includes damages related to health outcomes, data loss, business interruption, or any other losses
• The total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to use the App (currently $0)

10. No Warranty

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties of any kind, including but not limited to:

• No warranty that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• No warranty that data will be accurately stored or retrieved
• No warranty of fitness for a particular purpose
• No warranty of merchantability

11. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services including:

• Google Firebase for authentication and data storage
• Google Fonts and Material Icons for design

These services have their own terms and privacy policies which also apply to your use of the App.

12. Data Retention and Deletion

• Your data is retained as long as your account is active
• If your account is deleted, all your data is permanently removed
• We do not maintain backups of deleted user data
• You may request account deletion by contacting the administrator

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any changes.

14. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
